MEET

Hello, neighbor! I'm Mike Farley, and I'm running for State Representative to be a bold voice for Ward 8 in Concord, to stand up for the hard-working families of Manchester's South End, and to make sure their government works for THEM. I'm a fourth-generation Manchester guy, and I've lived in the Ward almost my entire life. I know the Ward, and the issues we all face, and as a former State Representative, I have the leadership experience to hit the ground running and get things done.

This campaign is not about me. It would be very easy for me to sit back, enjoy my recent retirement from the steel construction industry, and let someone else do the work. But I cannot sit idly by and watch my daughter, a widow and single mother, go to school, work hard and still struggle every day just to make ends meet. I cannot rest easy while my grandchildren lose hope of ever having a prosperous future. I'm running for them, and for everybody in Ward 8 who is struggling with them. I want to speak loudly for the people who are working too hard to even have the time to speak up for themselves.

I believe strongly in Community. And I know the power, strength and joy that comes from belonging to a thriving community. I remember a time, before the voices of anger and division became so loud in our neighborhoods, when Ward 8 had that sense of community deeply embedded in its bones. I would like to get that feeling of community back, and I hope this campaign might be a small catalyst for that outcome. I hope you will join me in this mission.

Our current Republican State Representatives have been in office for over 15 years. So, what does Ward 8 have to show for that? Have they made your life easier? Have they lowered your prices? Have they made you safer? If you agree with me that we can do better in all these areas, I urge you to support my campaign for CHANGE. We need to change the way we do things in Concord, and focus on the needs of hard-working families, not the radical, Free State ideology backed by our current representatives.
